  • 1.  Strengthening Chapter Programs Through Regional Collaboration

    Posted 02-13-2026 12:50

One of the greatest strengths of the Western Chapter is the diversity of programming happening across our states. From leadership workshops and networking mixers to scholarship fundraisers and volunteer days, each local community brings something unique to the table. The opportunity in front of us is to better connect these efforts so we can scale what works and create consistency in impact across the region.

How can we better collaborate across states to strengthen chapter programs? Should we consider shared program templates, regional speaker exchanges, or co-hosted virtual events? By thinking regionally while acting locally, we may be able to enhance member value, attract sponsors more effectively, and create clearer pathways into mentoring, awards, and scholarship initiatives.

I really appreciate the focus on shared program templates. One challenge we've faced at the state level is reinventing the wheel each year when planning leadership or scholarship events. If the Western Chapter created a shared resource library with event outlines, timelines, sponsor decks, and promotional materials, it would save volunteer leaders significant time and create more consistency in quality.

It would also help new volunteers step into leadership roles more confidently, knowing they're building on proven models rather than starting from scratch.
